I've been to Brno twice, once for MotoGP in 2003 and WSB 2010 and really enjoyed both. MotoGP was packed, WSB wasn't at all, both times were scorching hot.
2003 we lucked out with accommodation and got somewhere within walking distance of the track at local rates, and made full use of the cheap beer at the track. Good food trackside too. We watched from area 'C', the big steeply banked area where a lot of people head for. Take/borrow a spade from someone to dig yourself a ledge to sit in to stop yourself sliding down the bank.
WSB is was far to hot to walk anywhere far so watched from the bottom of horsepower hill, area 'E'. Good view with few people there but might not be so good when packed.

Have a great time.

Jealous! Loved Brno as a town and the track is wonderful for viewing!

Horsepower hill as mentioned is really nice to hear the acceleration, on some bikes you can 'feel de bass'! :-)

Don't bother looking at the ladies, they're not pretty at all. Honest. :lol

You're staying at Colditz! Fantastic!  I visited there on the way back from Lausitzring WSB in 2005 when they had already started restoring the place, about half done.

Hows the tunnel coming along?

The Brno race was a good one. The Moto3 highlights were about 30 seconds on ITV4, the race looked a classic.

A great memento, wish I had something like that. The video starts at Adenau, theres a bank you can spectate from on the right. You can also join the track there, which I did for my first lap. We had a shower just before we went out and the track didn't dry in places. At 42 seconds in you can see a small damp patch under the trees, I nearly lost the front there as it was extremely slippy, caterpillar shit I reckon, I wasn't going that fast. I was talking to a Finish man at the entrance whilst waiting for the track to open, he left just after me and crashed on it, he and the bike ok save a few scraps. After that I wobbled around like a novice, maybe a video wouldn't be good  :lol

I there in July (have been before) and was going to do a couple of laps but they would not let bikes on due to a crash leaving oil on the road.
We waited around for a few hours because a few of our party had never been round but then it started rain too so we sacked it off.
To make we jumped on the autobahn back to Bitburg and maxed the bikes out  :evil
