For Sale & Wanted / FZS 1000 gen 1 for sale 2004 £2250
« on: 24 May 2022, 12:31:19 pm »

Looking to sell my FZS1000 2004 looking for £2250 Ono still needs a clean which I will do shortly but here it is to give you an idea.

It has MOT until September 22nd this year. it’s done 55k miles.

- It’s ivanised (slip on version)
- AIS delete
- Has Leo vince sbk titanium exhaust
- Has a Ignition advancer
- Has mct worked forks and ktech rear spring on the standard shock.
- Oxford headed grips
- Renthal 758 bars
- Hel front braided lines
- Fazer logo black frame plugs
- Smoked indicator lenses
- Titanium disc bolts all around
- Titanium chain adjuster bolts and nuts
- Exup is working bolts have been replaced with stainless
- Does have a f.fabbri screen but this has been modified by someone in the past. Still looks good and works well.
- Chain and sprockets done in January using DID vx3 gold chain, Renthal hard anodised rear sprocket and a JT “silent” front sprocket.
-Datatool s4 red alarm ( that actually works!!)

2 sets of keys and alarm fobs

Oil and filter Changed every 4K using motul and hiflow filter. Last done November and due again in a little over 1000 miles ( may be redone before sale)

Has Bridgestone t32 tyres on it about half worn

Has a hugger but has a chunk missing. Have meant to cut it back to tidy it up but not got around to it (again May
Now get around to it)

Any interested parties are welcome to inspect it and have a chat I’m not hiding anything.

Selling only due to keeping my crashed FZS This is a better bike in a lot of ways but tbh both me and Mrs prefer how the other one feels as it’s softer and tbh has more memories attached to it. Owned it for just under a year.

Previously owner by someone on here most the mods done by them. The suspension seems setup for heavier rider I’m about 11 stone kitted. being honest as only really works how I want when 2up. I’ve not touched it as I don’t know what doing with setup tbh.

Located in Great Yarmouth. Prior to my ownership was a inland based bike so has only had 1 year of harsher air

Hello all.

Looking to sell my givi side rack and panniers, don’t get used as the top box I have is more than enough for trips

Panniers are e41 I have 2 keys and the code for combination locks on each side. In good nick, rack has some
Paint peel on the back bar but it’s all solid. If was keeping was Going to to re powdercoaterd when I get other parts done

I’ll be honest I not really sure what to ask for them so Any advice welcome while i do some research on what’s a fair price

I may get a second givi top box rack as I want to re powdercoat mine so one those could be up for grabs too at some point. For now the rack and the panniers is what I’d like to sell

Does the standard exhaust contain the exup valve by any chance?

What is it you need exactly I have spare valve and parts and downpipes with working free valve but rusted bolts.

As per title anyone got by stock black bars in decent nick.

Or is there any renthals that are nearly exact. I know 758 is common mod I usually use 754 on other bikes I’ve owned.

So long as it’s decent petrol one should be fine. Even the Aldi/Lidl petrol ones aren’t bad.

My lovely other half is also looking forward to it and already imagining trips away with the luggage haha

Well I’m not million miles away. Great Yarmouth. Far enough and think that would be to much for you to travel so
I’d prob get a mate to drive me to yours. You meantioned delivery do
You have access to van if not I can get a courier I’ve used before.

Also I ride all year and though I love my bikes and do my best to keep them
Tidy and clean and I spend a lot of money on best consumables I can afford it will be doing 15,000 miles plus a year. If you can’t handle the thought of that let me know won’t be offended. I know how some people can get about bikes.

I’ll pm you my number perhaps we can have a chat at your convenience ?

Also what bars it got on atm and if like the look etc how much for it with the extras. Bars, guards, givi. Not so interested in the givi but would be good for touring if price right I’d have it.

Thanks.

Hello. Having just had a bloke turn infront of me and a give me a trip to hospital yesterday I’m gonna need another bike. Any more pics greatly appreciated I’m very interested. Where are you based. Can’t currently walk atm but if it’s viable I’d pay you a good deposit so you know I’m serious.

I have this rattle too. Very annoying. However seeing as I have no valve in and it blanked currently I don’t know what it is. My next plan is to remove the bush the other side as that is where the sound seems to be coming from

Looks like powerbronze to me. I broke mine too  :rollin Brought a replacement Powerbronze double bubble just smoked. Have you Considered looking at mra or ffabbri or taller screen  I have the latter now and it makes a world of difference

I went from clear double bubble to smoked yo the ffabbri

Holy thread revival!!

Hey all. Well my lemon of a bike with stuck exup saga continues. Not swapped the headers yet to the ones with working valve yet.

For now I’ve taken the siezed valve that local shop bent and damaged trying to remove it and just broken the valve off as it was then damaged and still stuck solid.

So with it blanked as per some the previous posts I think bike rides fine. Not laggy or fluffy at the bottom Imo still picks up well. Yes it’s not as torquey at the bottom as it was before with valve on closed position. But if you like to rev the bike and hold gears you won’t notice or mind. My bike is stock carbs has ignition advancer and there isn’t the dead spot at 5k others have meantioned.

If you like to Short shift everywhere you will notice the difference in how rapidly you make prpgress buy 2up it’s still fine and smooth even low revs and doesn’t stutter. So for those who get in a pinch with stuck valve and use bike daily it’s viable and not at all bad to ride,

Yes I know with a working valve I will get the best of both worlds but for now it’s Much better than was as I’m bit of a Rev head I found it disappointing before. I have the parts to sort the exup once I have enough time to do it.

General / Re: what did you do with your fazer today ?
« on: 22 May 2021, 04:26:43 pm »
New tyres fitted (Bridgestone t31) new discs, lines, pads, titanium disc bolts Calipers stripped cleaned and put back together

Next month I’ll start buying stainless/titanium bolts to try tidy the bike up a bit. One little bit at a time.

Fender extender still to fit and a Unsiezed exup set of downpipes  :D  may even resleeve the scorpion can to
Tidy they up and shorten to 380mm will see

Got another set of Downpipes in the end still yet to fit. Also have a spare valve now too that’s not stuck if anyone needs it. May just put it on the pipes I take off and try free up the stuck one and flog them both on.

« on: 06 May 2021, 03:29:19 pm »
So I’m new to Yamaha what’s the go to for oem parts.

With Suzuki I used Robinson’s as had nice parts diagrams.

Need few bolts and screws and working on exup atm it was missing main securing bolt for the cam and the washer and spring behind it.

25
Hey all don’t suppose anyone got a spare exup valve that isn’t siezed? Or even one that I may consider buying to get it freed up. Mine is stuck to the end plate. Was Like this when got the bike.

Or even the whole downpipes with valve id buy tbh if prices were right. As a daily rider it’s easier for me swap
Parts than spend long amounts of time to fix things
