FZS 600s 2001 possible clutch/ TPS
« on: 29 August 2022, 10:43:04 am »
Hi everyone Niall here from Ireland, the issue with the fazer is that it's running perfect on tickover and on the move but between 5 and 6k revs when on the move it revs up but doesn't send power to the wheels. I did drop the bike on loose stone at walking speed and bent the lever 2 months ago but all seemed fine until yesterday. The day before the issue I took her up a v steep broken road to get to air bnb so she may have been under pressure there too. Any thoughts or ideas on this would be great as I'm not finding anything in Haynes or Internet.
Many thanks and safe riding!!

Hi and welcome to teh forum. You will get a better response on this query in the FZS600 ot general sections.

Whilst awaiting your post there though, look in the download section for the manual and adjust the clutch properly at the bottom end of the cable. that may fix it, if not it may need a new clutch.
Another ex-Fazer rider that is a foccer again

Great stuff I'll repost and let you know how I get on at the weekend and I'll direct future stuff to the 600 section. Thanks BBROWN1664
