The only one I could find 4 years ago was the Ermax. These are quite flimsy, I'm on my second one, as the weight of the numberplate and indicators causes that area to crack, once a few poorly maintained roads are encountered. They are around £85 unpainted, they are a dull black naturally. You can order them colour matched, which comes in around £148. It's not a 5 minute job to fit them, but am happy with mine now that I've beefed it up.

I’ll take a few pics to try and show what I did. I still have the broken one so you’ll be able to see what needs to be overcome.

The area around where the numberplate/indicators attach needs strengthening. After making a cardboard template, I cut out the required shape from a scrap of sheet metal. The numberplate fixing point on the Ermax is like a triangular shaped hole. My metal insert is bent through 90° to fit parallel with the back edge of the Ermax, inside this triangular area. This has 2xM6 nuts welded to the inside of the metal. So now the number plate bracket bolts through the abs of the undertray and into the M6 nuts. There's some internal bracing to support both the Ermax and the metal insert. This triangular moulding broke off my first attempt, as can be seen in the two pics. It's difficult to make sense of all this really unless you have the parts in front of you :lol . The last pic just shows where you have to cut the original tray. The Yamaha tray is supported on 4 snap type fixings. I substituted them for black numberplate nuts and bolts.

Depending on the condition of your existing undertray, it may be worth considering getting a used one to cut up, so that you could return your bike to stock in the future should you wish. Hope this has helped, and not put you off :lol . Good luck :thumbup

Thanks for all the info robbo much appreciated.
I could make myself a bracket at work as I'm a fabricator by trade.
Just out of interest as you have the same colour bike ,which colour did you opt for the unpainted or gloss black ?

I got it very badly sprayed gloss black :lol . The guy who sprayed my first one did an excellent job, but has packed up now. The alternative cheap bloke near me did a disappointing job, but even with a hugger fitted, it's still going to get marked from rubbish coming off the back tyre. The bikes barricaded in by junk at present, or could have taken some pics to show you the finished product. This was taken about 6 weeks ago.

I was thinking on having a go myself what's the worst that could happen right 😂
Thanks again for the info and I might be biased but that's definitely the best colour 8)

There is a company in germany bike parts 79 on ebay, they sell the gimbel undertray, it sets the lights back in the socket, looks cool.  I managed to get one years ago , still haven't got round to fitting it, like robbo says not a five minute job.
