Description: After my 5th sprocket nut failure and no help from Yamaha and not wanting to spilt the engine to replace the output shaft this is what I did to sort it out. So far still secure after 1200 miles. Let me know if any one else has tried the fix and how it worked out.
30/11/2012 still secure after 2500 miles
28/01/2013 still secure after 3250 miles
22/06/2013still secure after 4900 miles
21/8/2013 still secure after 5500 miles
10/11/2013 still secure after 6500 miles
02/06/2014 still secure after 9500 miles
10/11/2014 replaced chain and sprockets (42000miles on chain and rear sprocket  :) )  and fix was still secure after 12000miles
Still holding after 16000 miles
20/05/2021 Still secure after 25000 miles
