Got friday off to go to Le mans 24hr. Forecast is for 91C at the circuit on Sunday.
I forecast the purchase of a crate of 42 bottles of frog lager to stave off inevitable thirst.

I work a really good shift pattern so get plenty of time off.It is a three week shift cycle.
First week:- Monday ,Tuesday, Wednesday nightshifts.
Second week:- Monday,Tuesday dayshifts then Thursday,Friday nightshifts.
Third week:- Wednesday,Thursday,Friday dayshifts.
These are all 12 hour shifts but the time you get off more than makes up for it!
Also if you book off the second week in the cycle as holiday you get 13 days off work.
I don`t know who worked out this shift pattern but I am grateful to them.

Been off since Thursday last week but only really been able to walk (hobble) yesterday and today.  Might go out for a ride later but I'm expecting a delivery.  Hurry up!  :grumble

I commute from Colchester to London, so loads of DC.  On the way home if it's nice I turn off 20 miles early and it's 14 miles of B roads :D

Nice one lawrence,fair enough,

Ive got a mental thing goin on where i dont wanna associate my bike with work, purely for my own time, but i imagine its a good way to de stress after a hard day all the same.

I agree - the cooler, brighter days of Autumn (and hopefully some Winter) will provide great biking weather without all the sweaty bits  :lol

from going to spring meet til now I reckon i've done about 2-3k. I have a 20 odd mile round trip to work tho, but there's been two runs to sutherland, a couple to argyll and one to east coast. another east coast run next week and week after (2 return trips of 130 odd miles) plus what i've done scooting around the city and suburbs. All weathers.

great fun
Smell ones mother. Yaas!

Hey manuel, yep i went to the cafe as id heard it was a bike haven, only stopped about 10 minutes though,
Really enjoyed the roads from aberystwyth to buith wells,

Roads werent too busy coz it was monday

Me and my neighbour planning to do it again on saturday,

I wanna go round the ellan valley series of resorvoirs for somewhere nice to scoff my sandwiches,

Seen them on google earth, they look pretty awesome but im guessing the roads too small for fast riding,

If im honest i dont particularly enjoy the coast road up to aberystwyth buts its a means to an end to get to the good stuff and a nice warm up.

I was forced to take leave this week as I have too much leave accumulated. Good timing weather-wise. Did 200 miles today around Surrey, and Sussex. The A272 was still rammed with cars though :(. When is the A272 clear?

Hey Manueline, when are you down Fareham way,I live a few miles away nearer the coast. Maybe meet up and I'll take you for a blast around my favourite roads just north of Fareham?
Sent from my villa in the South of France.

Fire blake,,ok Sunday i will be down there by 11 or so , so after i seen mummy i will catch you for a spin.

Noggy,, i think the road from Llandovery to Builth wells is a MUST, i took my mate on it last year, fuck its brill and fast, check the map out.

The roads around the dams is small, meet touring busses, not good,,but still a nice place to be.

When is the A272 clear?

Generally you just need to avoid the usual rush hours and you can have lots of fun :)

I was out today on the A32, A39, B3046, A272 and back down the A32 (and quite a few country lanes too) and had a great time :thumbup

Fireblake, i have to check to see if mum is at home on sunday ,if so then we can meet at the Aldi car park, west street, Fareham,, she lives next door to it.

2pm Sunday.Location on Aldi store finder website.

If she is in, i will be going , you could post this on the "meet up" section , to see if any others want to meet, and ride.
