Of course, there is always the possibility that the one pictured above is a UK bike that has had a paintjob. I don't think the American ones had the 2 tone black and grey with that black stripe down the centre of the tank. Maybe it was a previous owners preference to have 'FZ1' graphics on the upper cowling rather than 'Fazer'

For what it's worth i think it's really nice
I found the bike you are looking at.(Edinburgh) Don't pay that price for it! Far too expensive.. Look at the very low mileage bikes that sold for under £3500 on here. It does look in really good condition tho... The frame no is at the front right hand side on the headstock there is also a (white label) in front of tank with frame no's also.
First thing you should say to dealer is that it's an import(paint job) and do they have proof of mileage. That will throw them for a start. Check tyre wear another bargaining tool! Turn the ignition on and you should hear the exup valve rotate into closed position. Service history? Big one to tell them is that a major service is due at 25'000 miles (Valve clearances) Obviously being an import they are valued a lot lower. Offer a stupid price, if they don't accept walk out the showroom, they will soon chase after you for a deal. Good luck
Hold fast mick, you know the right bike will come up at the right price mate
I forgot that when i was looking for one a few weeks back 'sadlonelygit' offered me his for £2300. I would have bought it, but i wanted one for less, as it was purely a work bike. His one has r1 front end 29'000 miles and is in good nick. If you are looking for a company to transport your bike i have a cracking company i used that charges £120 for anywhere in UK. Here is post he sent me http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php/topic,11778.msg129324.html#msg129324
