The incident occurred whilst working on a 1950's twin engined aircraft, used for aerial surveys. Yes it was messy, very.
Lol - it was an "Elsan" toilet, similar to the ones you found in caravans in the 1970's. The chemical on it's own stank, but when mixed with "floaters" it became nasty.

I think that, that particular aircraft was taken apart at Coventry due to a life expired component and never put back together again  . But then again it maybe another one.

Like with old bikes, when spares run out it’s down to old guys with superb engineering skills to fabricate parts. The sad thing is, that young people will inherit classic cars, bikes, planes, boats etc, and will have no interest and also no appreciation as to the history and value of their inheritance. When I visit the Hollyville cafe, about half a mile past the Brands Hatch main entrance on the right towards M25, on Sundays, it’s usually awash with ‘50’s to ‘70’s bikes ridden by old guys like me. Give it less than 20 years, where will all those bikes be. I know where the old guys will be. Quite sad really.

You've hit the nail on the head - you don't really see many 50 - 65 year old's belting around on classic British stuff, but you'll see them on GS's, Z'ds and the like.
