Fazer 1000 Corbin seat, straight swap for the original, very good condition.
It has one tiny split at the rear, only noticed it when I was inspecting the condition, never noticed it on the bike.
Price £100 including post.

Madstad touring screen, by far the best touring screen for the fazer1000. No major scratches or gouges, few polishing scratches like all screens. I think new these are @£250. Includes longer fixing bolts because of the extra weight of the screen.
Price £105 including post

I can do both for £200 including post or knock a tenner off if you can collect  ;)

If your interested in collection I’m in Northumberland, cash, PayPal or bank transfer for payment.

I’m heading down to Mallory park next Saturday so can drop these off to anybody whose near the M1  :)

Yes when I get around to it, I’ve got some non fazer related gear on eBay atm, once that lot is away I’ll look to sell the fazer items.

Thanks for the offer but I’ve got a few screens, might strip the bike down to standard trim, and sell all the bits on it, dunno if I can be bothered though

Sorry Stef , didn’t see your post, yeah those screens cost a lot, I’ve tried all different kinds but the madstad is definitely the best I’ve used. Bike is still only for sale on here, I’ll have to bung it on eBay. Sold a couple of bikes on there over the last few weeks, maybe try autotrader.
Open to an offer close to asking price  :)

Just a bump for my ad, bike now has full mot, no advisories. Oh....also included is a very nice givi vr46 top box to go on the givi rack !! Forgot to mention , comes with a speedo healer fitted if you want to change the gearing, have a tooth down front sprocket to go with the bike. I did run the shorter gearing for a bit but decided the standard was better for my kind of riding.

For Sale & Wanted / FOR SALE: 2002, Fazer 1000, 31K, £2000 *SOLD*

This is my 2002 fazer 1000, pains me to sell it but needs must  :o  bike in Northumberland. Owned this bike since 2007, spec list is as follows -
  • 31300 miles, w/12mnths MOT
  • 2008 R1 front end conversion
  • 6pot callipers, pads have @500 miles on them
  • Maxton GP25 fork cartridge kit
  • Mivv x cone pipe
  • Full Ivan’s kit fitted by Mike
  • Raised rear end (dogbones)
  • Pazzo levers
  • Gear indicator
  • Battery monitor
  • USB connector
  • Good tyres/ C&S etc
  • 4 degree ignition advancer
  • New oil/ filter/ plugs
  • Recent needle steering bearing kit
  • Has a Nitron Road rear shock
All related items to go with bike including standard front end ( minus callipers they are on my rd). Couple of back wheels one is mint that I planned to put on with the next tyre change, 3 screens I think, I’ve got some fairing lowers too somewhere, basically anything Fazer that I have. Small bit of paint flaking from the clutch cover bit on the cam cover, few chips in the tank, overall nice condition though. Getting new MOT next week.

For the eagle eyed amongst you bike has a black swing arm. I was going to replace the swing arm bearings but bought a NOS 2005 swing arm for not much more than a bearing kit ! So still have the original, got the original seat too which is mint

Looking for £2000 the lot.

This was the original 1983 headlight cowl, that’s why I’m pissed !! You just can’t buy them anymore, the only decent ones left are attached to people’s bikes, or being hoarded in case of damage.

Sooooo I get a painter to repaint my rd 350 lc2 front headlight fairing, telling him “mind these are like hens teeth, this is a good one and worth probably the thick end of 600 quid” no problem he says.
You know what’s coming........he’s totally wrecked it. Put it in an oven and forgot about it  :'( . These cowls are really hard to get , there’s little to no chance of getting another, he says he’s been looking for one but can’t find a replacement...no shit ! Says all he can do is apologise. I haven’t been to see him yet but I reckon he owes me a wedge of money now,  what do you think ?

:thumbup :thumbup  to quickshifters, I think they are great. Haven’t got one one on my thou, but will probably fit one at some point. If you like to pin the throttle and snick up through the gears get one.

Very nice. I had this model in 1983. After passing my test on a GP100 it felt like a rocket ship.

I've got to ask...... How much ?

I paid 5500 for this one, probably @5 or 600 more than I wanted but the bike was local to me and is standard which I was looking for. My plan was to keep it original but after a few run outs I’ve fitted a set of fazer1000 calipers I had lying around so at least the front brake has a bit of feel now  ;)

Looks to be a nice tdr just come on eBay, Carlisle. Could take 5k to buy it though looking at what else is for sale. I’m hoping to buy a RD350 next week , stupid money obviously  :eek . Just the way things have gone with these 2 strokes though. I used to race an ‘96 cr500 in local Mx back in the late 90’s, bike was mint but you could hardly give them away when the 4strokes took over, now they are mental money.

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / Re: Indercators not working fazer 1000
« on: 08 July 2019, 08:51:12 pm »
Use a multimeter on the wires to the indicator relay, there's two wires, turn a blinker on see what the reading is, if there's no power going to the relay the problem can lie with the ignition switch. I had the same problem and found the bolts that hold the ignition switch together (where you put the key in ) had come loose and although everything else worked fine the blinkers didn't. I tightened the bolts inside the switch housing and it sorted it. Could be the relay though , but if your indicators work with the alarm then could be that. I stripped the alarm off mine years ago it was a pita !

Ive tried a load of the screens and by far the best , although probably the most costly, is the madstad screen.

that madstad screen looks like it will solve the problem of buffetting you tend to get with a large/high screen, lot of cash to find out though. I have a rifle screen, 20" iirc, and the buffeting and noise it creates is headache inducing. I like my corbin seat and dont get the vibes through it like shrekster.

General / Re: car insurance
« on: 21 April 2014, 08:06:12 pm »
Just what I'd heard that's all, thought it sounded fairly plausible. Did you claim from either policy maybe you could have run into trouble if you had...dunno.  lots of ins companies use common sense and others while offering cheap policies may offer a very poor service come claim time, or if you want to cancel the policy etc. My dealings with even well known companies have been a drawn out affair, with the usual hire car scams thrown in. I'm straying off topic now but I really believe we should have a system of increased road tax to include gov funded 3rd party insurance. Been canny weather lately tho so not all bad. :)

I did hear this was done , after payment, as a certain % of people have the wrong address on their license which allows the insurance company to cancel the policy, it can then be very difficult to get your money back, free money for them. Also it counts as being denied \ cancelled insurance which counts against you when you come to get another policy.

I got a reply from the chinese company selling the r1 front wheel. They are NOT genuine Yamaha, so won't be touching with a barge pole! Damn. That's why they were so cheap :'( Regarding yoke offset how can i find out what each model years yoke offset is? I'm trying to find out if 02-03 is same as 07-08.
