Hi guys been getting bike ready for mot when i noticed that when i pull rear wheel towards the chain side of bike my chain starts to sag now my question is ---is this normal or do my swingarm bearings need replaced as this looks to be where the play is ?--Thanks for any info /advice-

If you pull the rear wheel to the side and it moves the bearings are focced. Either the swing arm wheel bearings. You need to work out where the movement is.

Yeah the play is definately in the swing arm cheers--

If there is that much play in the bearing that you can notice it in chain slack then the bearing must be well and truly shot at. I would first check that the nut on the bolt that goes through the swinging arm to the frame is tight.

Glad you found the cause of the problem. Always good when someone reports back after finding the answer to a problem so others can sometimes learn from it. :thumbup

Yeah it's good when the fix is reported back. Everyone learns something. There's nothing worse than when you have a problem and you find a thread where the person has the exact same problem as you so you read the whole thing all the way to the end and they never post the solution :'( Even if they didn't find a solution but they updated the thread with I tried all that was suggested and nothing worked. That tells you more than saying nothing!
