Are they worth the extra money ? do you notice any difference or is just that they last longer ? thanks in advance for any advice, Fraser

Well, if you look around - on eBay and Amazon, you can get them pretty cheap. I got 4 for £24. So that was def worth it

Not tried them in my Fazer but I've never really found them worthwhile in anything else I've owned.
The price to life ratio just isn't that good, could always just replace copper plugs a little more often and still come out on top.
Never noticed a performance difference.
Bear in mind this is on cars mostly, the turbocharged 4s I've mostly owned over my life.

I tried them a couple of years ago and didn't notice any difference except starting wasn't quite as instant. Went back to ordinary plugs after about a year and not going to bother with iridium again

I agree, I do not see it worth going for Iridiums, they are likely to get changed out of guilt before the advantage of their longer life plays a part, I remember someone on here saying they had done 39,000 miles on the standard original plugs, ok that was on a FZ6 with CR9EK plugs, they are made of the same materials but the 'K' means that they have twin ground electrodes.

I got a set of 4 Bosch UR2CC for £13.94 inc postage. These are Bosch's standard 'Super' plug, copper core and Yttrium-enhanced.
Used Bosch plugs for years in cars and boats, I find them indestiguishable from normal NGK, so I am happy to use either, so comes down to urgency, availabilty and price

I put a set in my Thou at 20000 because I thought it was about time I had new plugs. The old ones were fine really. Didn't notice any difference in performance or economy. Have done a further 16000 miles and they're fine but standard ones probably would be too.

I stuck a set in my Fazer when I bought it back in 2006. Never noticed any difference riding, but sold the fazer (last month) after adding 30,000 miles to it with the same plugs. They needed a clean and check every now and the but were still going good....

So they do last.
