Dropping the forks on 600's
« on: 12 April 2013, 10:18:40 pm »
Evening Foccers,

Was wondering if any of you guys have dropped the forks in the yolks by the 5mm/10mm people talk about?  If so what amount? and what did you experience in terms of feed back and ride-ability of you beloved 600's?

Any advice and experience would be most appreciated.

Ta very muchio

Not felt the need to do this but isn't it the free equivalent of jacking the rear up?
Best thing would be to just try it, 5mm at a time and see what happens.
You may not like it at all, but won't know unless you give it a go!
If you do try it, give us some feedback on here on the results. :)
More people are born because of alcohol than will ever die from it.

Cheers Darrsi, rear end is already jacked up 25mm and have replaced the shock for a thou shock.. the back end is superb now.... just need to sharpen the front end up at little bit... I shall give it a go... and report back!!  :smokin

Sharpen the front end as standard its got the same geometry as a Ducati 916!  If your bike after jacking up the rear is still slow to turn there something very wrong with your front end, plus the more you drop the front the less stable it will become.
