This is my project goal in the future - I want to build and tune some sort of stupidly over the top car

Yeah, I expect that thing is pushing 800+ bhp especially as it has a supercharger on it (may be a Turbo, but I doubt it)

I saw this article on the Top Gear site ( http://www.topgear.com/uk/photos/meet-the-2000bhp-road-legal-drag-racers-2014-02-27 ) and its something I would love to do once I have the money and the garage to do it :)

Yeah, you'd think a thou would be slightly quicker (than the bike)
I'm assuming you'd need something like GR's turbo huyabusa to stick with that car!

Don't think it's an SV, they have the mirrors mounted on the fairing not poking up the screen at the front - going by the vid at 6 secs, buuuuuuuuuuuuut the dash looks like an SV. If it is an SV then he's a dick for even trying to take a car like that  :lol

Damm quick car tho.

According to his site, he's riding an SV650S in that vid.

After a little more of a look, the car was running a 572 cubic inch (9.37 litres) V8 with a Supercharger (Procharger) which was probably putting out somewhere between 900-1000 bhp

That's my sort of car  :D :D :D

Yeah, you see, when I win the lottery I'll have a mini pickup with one of them mounted in the flat bed, wheelies ahoy!

I have no idea exactly what I would buy... far too much choice for me

Chargers are nice, but can be common, Mustangs are nice but can be common... though a '67 fastback is rarer these days... or there's the Pontiac GTO, Chevy Camaro (the old one), Plymouth SS... the list goes on and on and on and on...

Being on a bike forum I have a feeling I might get lynched soon... :P

Some more views. It was used on most sunny days. The driver was in his 60's and had never left the county he was born in except for a year in the Mekong Delta. But that's another story

Fireblake,

That's a 1955 bel air, lovely looking example it is too.. motor and interior looks stock, wheels are custom as is the air filter.. it originally would have had a thing looking more like a painted saucepan on top..   I do love my Tri chevys (1955,56 and 57 models)..

in fact I just not long finished a model of a 57 bel air..
