Exhaust Can Recommendation, Gen 1
« on: 07 July 2015, 10:49:17 am »
Looking for a carbon can with a short-ish link pipe for my gen 1. One thing I don't like about these bikes is the drain pipe link pipe. Any recommendations? Pics? Ta.

I'd suggest contacting Fuel / MTC / Beowulf for their advice on whether a shorter link pipe is feasible as I have a feeling it might affect fuelling / performance. If they say it's not an issue then you could discuss the options with them, they all have nice looking carbon cans in their range.

Get a decent brand MTC/Beowolf just look cheap in my opinion. Arrow/Akra/Scorpion etc... Martin at mtc does a decent job of exhausts used to buy from him at blueflame but i think the cheap logo ruins the look. But i've always tiked my brand names.

Be prepared for melted boots and severe tinnitus  :lol

Brooker, yes, I do like the quality of the top brands. But I'm specifically looking for something with a shorter link pipe. Luke has cut down my old one for the hedgetrimmer, both can and link pipe (due to damage it sustained), and I'm wondering if there's something ready-made like that out there.

If I had to get rid of my Staintune I'd be getting a Mivv for the very reasons that you mention.

That's the kind of length I'm interested in bobdog. Unfortunately, I have become a carbon tart  :lol
