Doesn't look particulary free flowing with that box in the middle of the pipes.  Don't know why it wouldn't of went just from 4 into 2 without that but hey what do I know.  Either way at £600 original price I reckon someone was seen coming......

FZS600 Fazer / Paint Codes
« on: 21 January 2012, 08:18:02 pm »
There seems to be no way of finding out exactly what the paint code is for a blue 2002 fzs600.  I think its either DPBMC or DPBML i.e. 0564 Deep Purplish Blue Metalic or 0865 Galaxy Blue.  I can't find anything on the bike that refers to a paint code.  Only code I can see is under the seat and reads 5RT1-070 but this seems to just be the model no?  I took the belly pan and new front fender to the paint shop today but as the guy correctly said there are about 100 yamaha blues and while he could narrow it down theres no way to say for sure what the colour is without the code.
Any help would be great,

Stupid question but is the paint code for the bike written on it anywhere?  Or does anyone know the code for a 2002 FZS600 in blue??

If I still have it I've got the set from that where on the bike when crashed.  Took a load of bits to the skip yesterday and can't remember if they went to.  They are completely knackered, backs smashed and circuit board is cracked but other than that its all there.  There yours for price of postage if your interested. OR if you want I could take it apart and provide photos?

Honestly don't think there is much room.  From what I remember look at mine with the back smashed the circuit board is the full size of the clocks unit to which all the various bits are more or less an integral part.

« on: 09 January 2012, 01:31:46 pm »
I've just fitted the same bars to my FZS600 and went for Renthal Road Race grips.  Off eBay for about £10.  Seem a good quality product and have the Renthal logo to match the bars.

Only thing is they are tight as a ducks back end so be very carful putting them on.  I managed to break the throttle twist trying to get it one but I admit it was slightly cracked from the accident anyway.

What year of FZS are the parts for.  If its the 02/03 'foxeye' model then I'll take the infill section plz.  Delivery would be required to Belfast, Northern Ireland.  I can square you up through paypal if thats ok?

They don't list many parts for the fazer and not the ones I'm after.  Will maybe give them a call Tuesday and see if they can help.

FZS600 Fazer / Where to get replacement fairings
« on: 01 January 2012, 03:26:52 pm »
I've looked at what seems to be every website that sells fairings and cant find anyone in the UK that does replacement fairings for the fzs600. I'm after a nose and front fender for an 02 model. The only ones I can find are on eBay but I don't know if they will be any good. Anyone know a UK based site that sells them???

I just fitted one and theres no mounting for the stock guard.  You'll have to fit an aftermarket radiator guard or take the risk without it.

FZS600 Fazer / Jack up kits any good?
« on: 29 December 2011, 06:53:42 pm »
I'm currently rebuilding the bike after the accident and was thinking of fitting a 25mm jack up kit.  I've heard they improve thr cornering.  Does anyone have any experiance of them?  There are a few different ones on ebay at either £16 or £40odd again is it worth the extra cash.
Also would anyone have a picture of them fitted to a 02/03 fazer so that I could see what sort of difference they make.

For Sale & Wanted / Wanted 2002 FZS600 nose fairing and brackets
« on: 16 December 2011, 01:38:33 pm »
I've now got more or less everything I need to start fixing up the bike apart from the nose fairing, inner black surround and bracket to hold same.  Would prefer to put plastics back on the bike rather than a fiberglass fairing but don't to pay whats no doubt silly money for new ones.  On the off chance anyones done a street fighter mod and has the bits (maybe even the headlight aswell).  Its the 'fox eye' model in blue but any colour would do.

As you may of read in my introduction post I was in an accident and damaged the front end of ther bike.  The big part I'm struggling to find is the forks.   I'm in Belfast, Northern Ireland and would be keen to speak to anyone selling a decent set of forks.

Introduction / Glen M and whats left of his fazer :(
« on: 24 November 2011, 10:04:12 pm »
Hi everyone.  I'm new here and will be looking some help over the coming months to rebuild my beloved 2002 FZS600.  A couple of months ago now I lost an argument with a turning car and went from the proud owner of a lovely bike to the proud owner of bits of a bike.  OK the damage aint that bad its all front end.  Forks, nose fairing, lights, clock, handle bars, mud guard, radiator etc etc.  So my winter plan is to rebuild.  Will post pictures of the progress in the forums.
