dipped beam adjustment
« on: 06 July 2013, 09:02:30 am »
riding home last night i noticed that my dipped beam seems to be pointing skywards and not on the road!
not yet done the dual light mod.
how do i adjust the headlight so the beam is directed at the road ?
thanks :)

On the rear of the bulb housing (so the side facing you when sat on the bike) there's 2 screws at the bottom and in between the two rubber protectors, they adjust the vertical (left adjusts the left bulb right adjusts the right bulb) clockwise to lower the beam and anti clockwise to raise it.
Remember these can be used if you find yourself stuck out at night and dipped beam goes, use high beam and adjust it lower to get you home!

Diagonally opposite each rubber protector is the horizontal adjuster for each bulb.

Some say...

You have to persevere when adjusting them as i remember when i last adjusted mine the screws don't necessarily behave in the way they should.
It's a damn site easier adjusting them with the bike aimed at a wall at night time in the dark as well, so you can see the whole beam very clearly (what little there is of it. :rolleyes )
I've upgraded my bulbs but i still think these are the worst headlights i've ever had on any bike i've owned.  :thumbdown
