I found adjusting the gear lever a godsend.

By winding the lever down a couple of mm, I find I am making much more positive shifts, getting more travel on the lever.

sorry for being thick, but how do you do this ?
can't see any adjustment at the lever or am i being blind ?
might help my gear changes too :)

The connectors are about 8 inches back from the bulb holder. I just found a convenient place to work on them really.

This is what I used on my FZS600 03reg and it is in the downlead section for a DIGI Gear indicator.

I would checked the wiring with the wiring diagrams for the specific year of the bike as they are esentialy the same for peace of mind.

many thanks :)

My side light is still in place and working. To remove the bullet lights all I need do is disconnect them at the connectors I put in the side light leads.

If you think your lights might draw too much current, then a relay and a fused feed from the battery might be a better idea. Take the signal for the relay from the positive side of the side light.
where abouts are the connectors please ?
don't think they will draw too much current.
2 strips of 18 led's

FZS600 Fazer / connecting running lights to sidelight ?
« on: 01 June 2013, 10:32:51 pm »
got myself some of the led strip lights to use as running lights along with the sidelights.
thinking of mounting them on the radiator grille that i have.
is there an easy way of connecting them to the sidelight ?
thinking if cutting the wire and using a "chocolate block" plastic terminal at the moment but would value your input.
thanks all :

shock and "collar" (don't know the right term) look v clean and shiny.
using the tool in the tool kit
have given it a squirt of grease, but still no joy.
best on centre stand or side stand ?

FZS600 Fazer / easiest way to adjust rear suspension ?
« on: 31 May 2013, 07:15:58 pm »
been trying for 15 mins or so to move the rear suspension on my fzs600 but i can't get it to budge.
been hanging off the "spanner" like a monkey and it won't move.
is there an easy way please ?
at the moment it is on the 3rd groove from the tallest end and i want to move it down a notch or two.
thanks :)

FZS600 Fazer / Re: suspension setup
« on: 31 May 2013, 02:08:11 pm »
not so much after changing the feel of the bike, just want to get it back to standard and work from there.
think the person who had the bike before me did a lot of 2 up riding as the back was very firm when i got it (or s/he was a right fatso!)

FZS600 Fazer / suspension setup
« on: 31 May 2013, 12:52:31 pm »
having seen delboys suspension setup video again last night i think its about time i sorted mine out!
i assume that the adjustments are the screws on the top of the forks and the twisty bit (technical term!) at the bottom of the back suspension ?
are there any other adjustables ?
thanks :)

FZS600 Fazer / brake seal kits & pads question
« on: 31 May 2013, 11:16:11 am »
when i change my brake lines over to braided ones i might as well give the brakes a clean and new seals as i don't know when they were last done.
there is still quite a bit of meat on the pads, but as the bike has only done 8.5k miles (on a 2002 plate!) i think they might be the originals and ought to be replaced.
are any seal kits better than others or are they all pretty much the same ?
what about brake pads ?
any better than others ?
thanks all :)
