Oh Dear me!   :rolleyes   No, no, no, no, no, that gold look just doesn't sit right with a red bike - far better suited on a blue bike - like mine  :lol
Gis first dibs when you're ready to ditch 'em  - I delayed in buying them myself  'cos someone was interested in buying my bike, which he didn't  :'(  and I'm now keeping  :D  and when I eventually went to buy the gold wheels, you'd gone and got them, Foccer!   :rollin
Enjoy 'em MadDog, they look cool on your bike.  ;)
IF IT AIN'T BROKE, FIX IT 'TILL IT IS.

Look great, been thinking about this over winter on mine, the poor thing was neglected  by the previous owner, wheels look they come from a late 90s Suzuki or Kwak!

What's a ball park figure for having wheels powder coated these days?
Also, Bearings left in or removed?

CableTie will let you know about the cost of powder-coating. You do need to take the bearings out (or leave them in and replace with new when the wheels are returned).

The wheels was done by a powder coating company i use in burton upon Trent and i get things done for mates rates and sometimes FOC, they remove and refit the tyres for me as well and there completed in one day turn around all bearings need removing/replacing because they will be fecked after being in the oven.

Cost you would expect to pay from by another company ie someone local to you I think would be about £50 a wheel, however theres a company Ive used in the past based in derby and they used to charge me £30 a wheel " for solid colours" but there turn around was 1-2 weeks a bit too long.

Cool, cheers, that's a handy thing to get for mate's rates. I have a mate who is a welder / fabricator, he might be able to get mine done cheap too through work.
I like that a lot, the blue one in someones avatar looks good too.
I tHink mine being candy red would look good with gold wheels.
Might wait until I bin the maxxis off...

why would you have to tell Mr Bennets? is not a power / improvement & how would they know they aren't as you bought it?

Just phoned for a local quote and £30 - £50 a wheel, so not bad, quite why the range os so wide is beyond me, I guess an 8 spoke single sider off an NC30 would be harder to do than a 3 spoke.

Gonna go for it soon, just looking at replacement tyres and I guess, bearings need to be accounted for too.

OOOooo i'm not far from Burton-on-trent and may look to get my black wheels done over the winter, would look pretty nice in gold on a black FZ6s. Do they supply and fit the new bearings or if supplied they would fit etc.

Thanks,

Steve.
