Odd that a thief would take the trouble to put it on its centre stand.
Also to add insult to injury it has been slapped with a parking fine  :eek
I don't do rain or threat there of. dry rider only with no shame.

Gentleman thief perhaps?.......even thiefs appreciate a good centre stand when they see one. :)

Had some scumbag try to steal my old Z750 twin, he'd pushed it around the corner, hot wired the ignition then found out I'd removed the starter motor so it was kick start only, someone saw him attempting to start it, his discription of the man was tall, ginger and very sweaty, apparently his last attempt at starting it was to bump it (never going to happen on your own) at which point he parked it on the side stand and walked away lol
Complete fabrication, I didn't make it up!

I have the same bike and only live around the corner! I was worried for a second.

Weirdly enough I was just outside tinkering with mine. A fella walks up in biker gear, carrying keys and a helmet and asks me if I've seen a motorbike?!
It turns out he'd parked his hornet 30m down the road from me while he popped to the cash machine. Came back and it was gone!!  :eek

Poor chap!

I bet you have to pay that parking ticket before they'll let you challenge it!

Did your bike have a lock on it? I see that the ignition/steering lock is not on?
Just asking out of interest, I know neither would stop a determined thief, I've been a bit worried about mine recently as a few bikes have gone missing around here.

I hope the damage isn't too bad and you can get it sorted! Nice bike, same age and colour as mine.
