I've been using a Castrol 'race' one, seems pretty decent. Readily available down in Halfrauds and cheaper than the lubes in Hein Gericke. I was always warned off the dry lubes for winter usage in the shit wet weather. Any truth in that?

I use engine oil, old or new, whatevers to hand.
Flings off but I think that's the point, not really to lube as such.
Once a week after ride home, more if wet, takes 30 seconds.

I normally use a Scotoiler but at the mo its not working. I'm waiting on some adhesive cable ties to stick the tube on the inside of the swinging arm, this keeps it all looking nice and tidy.
I'm using spray on grease at the mo which is great and free as its something I've found at work.

Gear box oil for me. Brush it on with a paint brush. Less messy than most chain oils. You have to reapply more frequently in winter. Also cheap and goes along way.

I'm using a dry chain lube at the moment (Wurths I think...) but I don't get on the bike much and only when its not raining - the ground may be a bit damp, but not usually wet. So far the bike hasn't seen much dirt and grime yet so the chain seems fine, nice and clean :)
