« on: 22 May 2022, 11:18:09 am »
always use standard oem springs also if clutch is hard to pull...... one did you just do a clutch plate change if so.... did you take final drive cover off and..? if you didnt the clutch basket is not it properly and needs re-seating

sounds like the pads are sticking sort your front brakes out check if to much oil in brakes as well as oil heats up it will put pressure on pads and if a pot locks on only on one side thats the snap you will feel

FZS600 Fazer / Re: Clutch Problem - FZS600 1998
« on: 22 May 2022, 11:09:13 am »
hi this is a usual problem with fazers and is a gearbox repair most just fit new engines instead

4
hi bud if your clutch plates are binding that will cause exactly that the revs will match the revs of the engine so its time to sort out your clutch plates also the carb rubbers are another so both are a idea to sort out

5
yeh i know why germany... i cant afford 80 quid at moment

give you a tip for removing header bolts.............      spent two weeks every day while riding and warm............ used a can of wd40 while engine is hot on bolts clean area all round bolt for wd40 to get into the thread also used at same time a freezing spray on the nut its self to shrink it a bit then wd40 again do this two times a day for two weeks then they come straight off remember to undo them when engine is hot just be carefull not to hurt burn yahself

ah okay thank you i was worried that there would be a difference in oil displaced and wasnt sure if i had to work it out lol i am terrible at maths lol

12
nah replacing old originals that are fucked after 50000 miles just wondering becuase if the new oem displace more oil how would you measure oil level.. so air gap is correct............... becuase obviously if they displace more or les oil you would have to add more oil or take some away....... how would you know if you measure the oil out before putting the springs in.....

13
hi guys looking to change fork springs for a new set question is............. if you measure fork oil and air gap before you put the spring in how are you supposed to know if it is correct because you wont know.......... obviously air gap is 121mm and fork oil is 475ml but is the spring is going to displace more or less oil how do you get the correct amount apart from buying originals from say folwers or such???

FZS600 Fazer / weird rumble at 4k rpm
« on: 09 April 2019, 10:53:04 pm »
okay so today coming home i noticed a new sound.... it sounds like those old war movies of the planes flying over head loud rumble thats some kind of sypatheitc virbation sounds/feels like the tank makes the sound alot louder didnt have any change in responce or anything just a loud very distant vibrational rumble
any thoughts i am going to go over everthing tomorow any ways but suggestions would be great

it only happens at about 4k stable rpm in most gears and neutral no change in power timing (etc)
