Used Power commanders

Is it worth buying a used one? Or is it the kind of thing you want brand new?
I need one is all and there are a few on the bay at reasonable prices

2nd hand is fine, but you need to know what map they were using.
pc5 is better than a 3.

Well I'm planning on wiping the map straight away and replacing it with a downloadEd one until I can get some time with the dyno place.
I'm watching a pc3 at the minute that's really cheap and I have a 5 in watching that's slowly creeping up.

I got a second hand PCIII for my FZ6 and never regretted it.

I also bought the multi-map switch so  I can go with the standard map (takes out the hole in the power curve) or the "fun" map which gives great extra power, but costs you about 25% of your fuel economy...!

I've not heard of that switch.9 but sounds exactly the kind of thing I'd like to get. If I could have an economy map and a sport map that would just be immense!

I have a Juicebox Pro on my FZ1s, basically the same as a PC3, fits exactly the same way as a PC3 and can have up to 8 different maps loaded, just rotate the selector with a small screwdriver to change from one map to another.

Thanks slappy.  I've just this minute been reading up on them. Seems they are even harder than power commander to get hold of over here though.
I'm looking for a used one for now just to get the bike to stop running lean until funds are better (paying for a wedding at the minute) but there aren't many used ones about

It's called the Multi-Function Hub see http://www.powercommander.com/powercommander/products/MultiFunctionHub/powercommander_multifunction_hub.aspx

They're a bit expensive, but IMO, it was worth the money :thumbup
