ABS question ?

Does anyone know if the ABS system on bikes is also designed to stop you from being able to flip the bike over front ways ??
(I.E over the bars)

I always thought there was more chance of me locking up and ditching than me actually going arse over tit.......& then i proved it to myself :\ .
