Front brake discs
« on: 05 May 2014, 04:43:58 pm »
Hi all. I'm after recommendations for front brake discs. Had an advisory on last years MOT so need to bite the bullet and get some sorted.
Has anyone had any from Zone Products? Price is an issue and these are good value, but are they any good?
Or anyone got a front wheel with good discs?????????  :)

I got Ferodo discs from M&P £108 a disc. My mate bought them too, the mechanic that fitted them was astonished at the quality for the price. Ferodo are a reputable company and i can't complain about them, very good so far

First time i've ever seen discs sold by Zone Products on Ebay, so i'd be very surprised if you can get a review on them yet.

Might be worth taking Tefer's advice and trying the Ferodo discs as he's totally happy with them.
The price is very good, if you buy too cheap you could end up buying another set in the near future!

Cheers, the Ferodos look good, might give them a go. Some-one had asked about Zone discs on the old forum so was hoping for some more info by now.

The only thing on a bike you never scrimp and save on is brakes!
Cheap is cheap, never trust unknown makes on something you rely on saving your life constantly!
Use reputable discs from a well known company, so either original spec, ferodo, ebc, or galfer.
That's my opinion anyway!

Ferodo discs ordered. Looks like I may have got the last 2 for an FZS600 at £108 each. They're not listed on the M and P site for that bike any more but for an FZ6 they're £213 each!!!!!!! so cheers for that Tefer.

No problems mate. :thumbup

I had seen these but never heard of them being used so assumed the where quite new. The listing threw me a bit as listed as "Racing/Track" discs so assumed they were for track use only, so I emailed Ferodo direct and asked if they were suitable for the road. They replied and told me that these would be suitable for the road so I was pleased and asked about where to buy. They told me that M&P are the sole distributor for Ferodo in the UK, so if M&P don't have in stock they should in theory be able to get them as long as not discontinued at the Ferodo end.
