What a great day for a ride out
« on: 09 March 2014, 07:17:26 pm »
WOW! Its been the best march day for a few years and it was a Sunday, I went to the coast had an ice-cream and boy was it busy, so great to see the country enjoying this fab Sunday and then home, somehow managed around 100 miles mostly "A" roads and a few duel carriageways, 1 having a speed trap which was bluntly aimed at bikers and no I was being a good boy at that moment.

Any one else out enjoying the wall to wall sunshine?

Opened the garage and found a bike at the back that been there since October.
Wheeled it out turned the key, pressed the button and....................it fired up!
Adjusted the tyre pressures, threw my gear on and went out for a quick half hour buzz, what a feeling :)

The roads around me were rammed with bikers and cyclists today, I just had to go and join them!  :D
Broken, bruised, forgotten, sore,
too fucked up to care any more.

went for a spin to towcester...took my lad out for his first ever pillion ride....he had the biggest grin, and was even chuffed with the full English at the café.

bike is looking like a rat bike at the mo, as in fairingless...
spent the afternoon filling and sanding it in a limp attempt to repare the cracks in it.
FOCing down under.......dodging vacant Skippy's.

Out both days, scrubbed new tyres in yesterday on a wee trip up to Glencoe and back, wet and very windy, but great roads. Started drying up again, so headed back up that way to see if I could catch my mates on their way back. All in all 280 miles and first proper run on the bike since picking it up. Loved it! :-D

Went up to Barrow then Windermere, back home via A65 Devils Bridge, A59. Shame I was in the cage, SWMBO on days so I had the kids, took them to south lakes animal park via some ace roads. Loads of bikes out, lost count of the number if times I wished I was on my Fazer.
It will be OK in the end. If it's not OK, it's not the end.

me!

met my friend on her R6 at Halfords in the city of wells (brought one of those 90 degree valve thingys,a must have for any biker imho),then rode to Bristol over the mendips to fowlers as i needed a tail pack. had brekie there, lusted over all the lush bikes  (yamaha's £99/0 % deals are just SO fecking tempting!! :evil ) then had a great hack to the sea side at weston-super-mare for a ice cream and a stroll on the beach  8)  then a good bimble back past Banwell castle and through cheddar back to my friends house for a brew, then a bloody great ride home into the setting sun going down behind Glastonbury Tor. my first PROPER day out on a bike in around 10 years, and man have i missed it!!!

Took the FZ1 out for a blat up my favourite roads to see the folks in Bardsea just outside the lakes. Picked up my sister and took her out for lunch and a walk around the Lakeland motor museum (she's a petrol head too!)

140 miles, a square arse, and a friggin huge grin on my face. awesome day!
Stop polishing it and ride the bloody thing!!
