Title: Carb inlet rubbers FZ1

Well lads my carb inlet rubbers are perished all four anybody know were i can pick up a set i been looking on-line for ages buster has a set but only for fz6. I use the bike as my commuter from and  to collage so need her back on the road any help greatly appreciated

If they're not leaking, don't worry.  Although they look bad cosmetically, the rubber is thick and leaks are very rare.   Take your time hunting down a set from a breaker or watch ebay. :)

One cheap repair you can do if you want to tidy the rubbers up is: remove them from the bike, cut some black electrical heat shrink to roughly fit (bit bigger), cover the rubbers in black mastic/rubber sealer (sorry not sure of trade names), whilst the mastic is wet slide on the heat shrink and using a heat gun (or carefully with your gas ring) shrink it to fit, allow to cool and mastic to set overnight, trim and excess shrink wrap and re fit to bike. Job Jobbed  :)
