AIRBAG VEST ?

I am thinking of buying an airbag vest, the ones I have looked at are made by hit air or helite.
Anybody bought or wears one ?  if so which type ? has it saved you in a crash ?

Unsure of this technology as I think it may work well at low speeds it may cause further problems with sliding at high speed in pacts. I would like to see it tested to reassure me that I will not slid into further trouble on a off.
