Cleaned and fettled me Julie for LoFo ride on Sunday.  :sun
Some say that he eats habanero chilli peppers dipped in oil of capsaicin for extra bite and that his pyjamas are made from Nomex. All we know is, he's called Ad the Bad

Went to the Copdock bike show in Ipswich, bought a ramp, strapped it on & road home again. Job done :-)
Oh and bought a back protector too, and some more bungees to do the strapping on of said ramp.

Wired sat nav to bike and then took her for breakfast with friends to test GPS and i can recommend the Garmin Zumo 350LM. Pity I broke my bluetooth head set though.

Fitted a tail lamp bulb. Might clean it next weekend then again I've been saying that for weeks.

Took the 1000 out of the garage to go for a spin, started it and heard this awful rattle from the exhaust.  :rolleyes  Saw the dreaded 7000 on the rev counter. :'( Turned the engine off
After some foccing and swearing as I had replaced almost everthing to do with the EXUP valve a few months ago. :wall  Whipped off the EXUP vavle cover off to find the valve in perfect working order.  :rolleyes Restarted the engine, no servo movement at all.  :'( Pulled out the servo after a little  more foccing and swearing opened it to find everthing moving as it should except the servo motor.
Cleaned my hands, put a post on the for sale or wanted section to source another servo motor, put on my leathers and took the old faithful 600  :) out and went for a spin.

Took the battery out of my newly bought 99 model to charge it. I did this because I didn't realise the importance of the 'P' setting on the ignition and consequently drained the battery flat! Welcome to the world of Fazer ownership, I thought to myself.  :o

Decided to pop out myself as the sun was shining - up the A46 then back down the A38 - not overly exciting, but nice to get out... the A38 isn't as fun as I remember... but then again I've learnt a lot since I last rode it properly...

Cleaned front caliper piston ends and put in new sbs ceramic pads, hopefully they'll be less dusty and give better braking than the ebc organics I have taken out!

Chris

It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.

Do you have those days when you regret doing anything?
Over the last few weeks I've painted my wheels and discovered the front wheel bearings were foc'd. All replaced.Took off the swinging arm to check all the bearings and regreased  them prior to the winter, all ok.Plus I fitted a ShockTube to the rear shock. I Changed the rear brake line to Goodridge, what a Bastid to bleed, regretted doing that as the old one was perfect, only did it as I'd already done the fronts. It took ages to sort but all done now. And today I decided to change the oil and filter. I always buy a K + N because of the nut on the front to ease removal. This promptly rounded off and I had to resort to ramming a screw driver though the filter, it still would not turn bending my screw driver. I always use a torque wrench so Gawd knows how it got so tight, luckily my neighbour had a grip wrench and that did the job. Working nights tonight so thought I might have had to sit in traffic with the lemmings but now it's all sorted I'm a happy bunny.
