HiThe wife was getting cramp on the pillion. So I made some Rear Footrest Hangers that moved the footrests forward 50mm and down 50mmyou can get the 30mm x 5mm steel strip 1M long from the larger B&Q's https://dl.dropbox.com/u/70564722/87.jpghttps://dl.dropbox.com/u/70564722/88.JPGhttps://dl.dropbox.com/u/70564722/90.JPGhttps://dl.dropbox.com/u/70564722/100.JPGATB YFM
2000+ also has a thicker pillion seat area, the seats are a straight swap so hunt ebay for one of those, plus, as said above the pillion footrest hangers are longer after 2000, another straight swap.

We all know there isn't much comfort too riding this bike as a pillion.Hence my reply to this "old" topic. What do you use as spacers between the new bracket and the original hanger?Do you tighten the new capscrews until the hanger hits the capscrew underneath?Or am I missing something alltogether? Why do you need two different diameter holes again?Hope this mod convinces my better half!Thanx.

I know the 600's changed hangers.
