I absolutely couldn’t get on with varifocals, my peripheral vision was always blurred which I hated.
I wear bifocals and have done so for many years, much better for me.

It’s value is £1400 and it’s a limited addition watch that I was bought new and never worn.
Unlikely to find another in unused condition.

hi all.
I have a buyer for an item i’m Selling who lives in another country.
He is quite persistent about buying the item but I have reservations.
Have any of you foccers sent stuff abroad and had bother or success.
I’m concerned about being scammed over payment into my bank account.

Hi all.
Just throwing this out there.
For more years than I can remember I have been a member of Benenden hospital in deepest darkest Kent.
For a  monthly fee you can be referred to Benenden by your doctor for operations that incur a lengthy wait on the nhs, you can also pay a family fee to include your children too.
It has been a godsend to my wife who has had many operations there and also myself who has had both knees cleaned up.
If you join now I think that there is a 6 month wait until you can use the hospital and let’s face it, that’s shorter than an nhs wait time.
I can only say good things about this hospital, it’s what the nhs was when I were a lad and what it should be now.
This is not bupa, you pay directly to the hospital but they can also refer you to a local hospital to you if they can.

The heal tech one also doubles as a shift light for peak torque or rpms, which is nice.

I recently bought a new machine too, the triumph tiger 1050 sport.
I still have my fazer thou but it needs a bit of tic and i’m not sure I can be arsed.
It’s a great bike though is the mighty fazer and I will miss it if I sell it, ahh what to do.

Thanks for the replies.
Blue spot calipers are great calipers and I have only ever had one seize up on me despite my lack of brake maintenance and riding all year round.
I recently saw a delboy video where he shows caliper maintenance so I thought before this winter really sets in with the gritters out and about I would treat said calipers to new pad pins all round and a good wash.
Feeling guilty about my Caliper abuse.

hi all.
Quick question.
Should I coat new brake pad retaining pins with a thin film of worth’s brake paste or just the ends that are in the Caliper.

What do you think of it and was it an easy install.

thank you for all of your replies and I appreciate the comments of those who don’t see the need to have one.
I’ve been riding since I was 17 and quickly discovered the art of clutchless upshifts on yamaha LCs, however, just because I can upshift, it still doesn’t negate the desire to have a quickshifter, We all like a little customisation don’t we. :)

Used to get this with other bikes I’ve owned but never with my 600 or 1000 fazers.
Problem was head race bearings.

« on: 01 April 2020, 08:35:59 pm »
was talking to a friend who Said he would like to take his 2002 fazer 600 to Spain for a road trip but he can’t find breakdown cover for it.
I would like to go too and have a 2002 fazer 1000.
Can anybody recommend a good breakdown/ recovery service for older bikes.
Thanks.

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / Re: Renthal 758 Bars
« on: 01 April 2020, 08:19:41 pm »
I bought my fazer thou with 758s already on it, they were black but I wanted blue so I bought new 758 bars.
I put the new bars on and instantly felt a difference, the new bars lightened up the steering.
I measured both bars and found that the new bars were longer.
Do I like the new twitchiness, for want of a better word, no, I preferred the shorter bars.
That 20 mil or so really shows up if you have ridden the bike with both lengths of bar.
Trouble is, I can’t be bothered to cut the new bars down, I just ride the beast as is.

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / Broken exup bolts
« on: 23 August 2019, 05:55:28 pm »
just thought i’d mention this if anyone has the same problem of broken exup bolts.
I’ve just recently had my exup bolts drilled out and the threads re tapped, which is nice.
The remains of the broken bolts in the housing were harder than a very hard thing and resisted several attempts to drill them until my guy got some drill bits from a locksmith, these worked really well.
So, if you have the problem, don’t waste your money at machine mart or other such places selling titanium or cobalt bits, get down to you local locksmith and get the bits from them.

I still have the AIS on my thou and my mivv exhaust pops and bangs like a Battlefield.
I love it.

« on: 06 July 2019, 05:13:05 pm »
The R1250r has got under my skin, the boxer engine is smooth and torquey and the bike is quick comfortable and is very flickable, I also like it’s charachter of  rocking the bike left when you blip the throttle.
I would have one tomorrow if something happened to my fazer thou.

21
I test rode the bmw r1200r and the r1250r and the 1250 is impressive.
Hooning down country lanes in 3rd gear riding on a wave of torque is really something.
I then did the same route on my fazer thou and decided that the fazer ain’t half bad too,so I decided to keep it.
There’s something that the fazer thou has that I can’t let go of.
