I hear that 758 ultra lows are popular. A smidgen wider, and a little less sweep than the standard bars.

I've had them on my last couple of 600's, and they're the comfiest bars I've ever used.
Stop polishing it and ride the bloody thing!!

If it's broken, it's not fixed.

758's are the most popular choice, I got mine tapped out to take the stock bar ends which I prefer the look and weight of to the aftermarket alternatives.

Renthal 789-02 Streetfighters on me Julie.

Some say that he eats habanero chilli peppers dipped in oil of capsaicin for extra bite and that his pyjamas are made from Nomex. All we know is, he's called Ad the Bad

I have always gone for ultra lows with the renthal bar ends. Sell your old bars on ebay. The last set of mine ended up in Sweden.  Also a big weight saving between the renthals and the originals.

cheers guys

i did not get the bike

i liked it but we could not agree on a price
it needed tyres and front disc`s and pads, there was no feeling to the front brake
i have had a couple of R1`s with the same brakes and they were a lot stronger than what i just tried

still looking

If it was low mileage then could it have been on original brake pads?....you say rest of bike was original.

My bike was and the brakes were crap....new yamaha pads and some brake fluid and they were lock up great.

Stevie i still fantasise about that R1 of yours...it looks the shizny.

& surprisingly when i sat on the new R1 in the shop it was comfy....legs were back on the pegs but felt natural on the ankles......i reckon way in the future ill try this.......when everyone else is on hover bikes. 8)
