FZS600 Fazer / Fzs600 self destruct
« on: 31 January 2019, 02:12:27 pm »
When I lived 60 miles away. The guy who serviced my bike said brilliant bike the Fazer 600. There is only one thing wrong. In the engine one bit self destructs. 10 years later it's still going strong. But what bit fails, falls apart. Or makes the price of a new engine pointless? Revs motorcycle shop Haywards heath. Called Rob. Great bloke new his stuff

thanks guys for input. all cylinders ok. I had that problem once and water trick sussed it out. tick over did drop a bit. I think it will be a carb clean. will find somebody to do it as all I know is how to make it go along on a ride at  max revs while making me smile down the lanes. I wonder how much that will cost to carb clean. or might get an additive and see if that works

being a sensible chap. I like to do things the easy way. go in supermarket. buy a car tyre pump.  about 5 to 8 quid.  take home. cut off cigar lighter. fit a pair of crocodile clips. use bike battery for power. break  off plastic casing. this makes it much smaller. if needed let it whirl. I leave mine under saddle with my crafty plugger. I think I forgot to put that on list. also something to pull nail out of tire. hope you get my drift matey

I cant find a post. I am 12 stone dead. how much will it cost to get my rear end done. I have had it from new and 26,000 miles later it must be due. I had my front end done by a bloke called daren. really sorted me out up the mct place.  he said my rear is floppy. I don't want to pay the earth, but I do like it firm. any ideas please?

I hit left click right click and the x how do you open file. I must be a bit doh

wow what a long thread to sort out. mine had same problem sorted in seconds. but I guess it wont fix yours.   I bought a new long d lock. took off cardboard and put that bit under my seat. it slid down between petrol tank and air filter. bike run to top speed of 50mph. pulled out cardboard and bike went ok. end of. if only yours was that simple..... or have you bought. naaa you cant be as lucky as me. ru?
