Here's some good news for everyone who's ever had a scam call...
A tax scam ringleader just got sent down for 20 years (https://www.theregister.com/2020/12/01/scam_call_prison/) :)
-
Noice.
-
one down, several hundred thousand more scammers to go
-
"So far, 24 of some 60 individuals charged in relation to the scam – essentially, those who were based in the US – have been found guilty and sentenced. The remainder live in India and so out the reach of the American authorities for now."Time to get the drones out ;)

Good news, shame it's the US, more needs to be done here and companies stop issuing numbers to whoever wants one, without first checking who they are and what they want it for. Basically stop putting profit before moral obligation :evil
I had a very nice message from a Scottish lady from Eon saying my account No (made up random long No) and my account has got issues, I need to call them on the following No.
I don't have an Eon account :rolleyes Checking online, looks like it's either a premium call back No or their after contact details etc, it one of hundreds of scams out there.

Keep getting emails and texts saying I was not in when 'Royal Mail', 'DPD' etc tried to deliver. If I want to have redelivery or whatever I need to ring this 09 number, or I need to key in all sorts of personal details, including a credit card.
Well
1. I'm not stupid
2. Being retired I've been indoors 99% of the time lately
But it's that time of the year, and if 1 people in 100 get taken in, they've made good money.
Bastards

I had that email too, and was expecting a delivery that had not turned up, I know it was a scam though because they wanted me to confirm my details before they could deliver - which is bollocks.
But that's how it works and why its called a fishing scam, they send out 10s of 1,000s and out those so many are expecting a delivery - out of those so many are expecting a dpd delivery.
Scam phone calls all seem to come from india from "Colin" who says video as wideo

whit these scammers need is a good dose of Covid, and a good hard kick up the arse.
