why are exup cables so expensive , i need some , do i have to pay £140 odd for them or is there an alternative ?

i find yamaha prices to be expensive,and yes the cables are ott in the price,a company called venhill can make a set of cables,but they solder the ends on and the heat from the exhaust could weaken the solder joint,the originals are crimped hence cheaper,i was lucky and got a good set off ebay for £13,they do turn up occasionaly,also look in the states ebay as that is where i got my exup valve and was the same price as in the uk with post and in a lot better condition (they dont use salt on the roads)

oh and the cable part number is unique to the fazer 1000
