i find yamaha prices to be expensive, and yes the cables are ott in the price,a company called venhill can make a set of cables, but they solder the ends on and the heat from the exhaust could weaken the solder joint, the originals are crimped hence cheaper,i was lucky and got a good set off ebay for £13,they do turn up occasionaly, also look in the states ebay as that is where i got my exup valve and was the same price as in the uk with post and in a lot better condition (they dont use salt on the roads)
a set in the us http://www.ebay.com/itm/EXHAUST-CABLES-FZ1-FAZER-FZ1000-YAMAHA-01-05-J-/110763626928?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item19ca06d1b0 and the only set of used ones i can find on ebay
