My bike was classed as a Cat N write off due to bent front forks.
I've searched the DVLA website and I'm a bit confused as it states to notify them when the bike is sold to the insurance company. I didn't sell it to them, I've kept the salvage.
I'm getting the forks repaired, so any advice on next steps with the DVLA is appreciated.

Don’t think you need to do anything, it’s the equivalent of the old Cat D.
Just repair and ride, the marker goes against the vehicle and shows on HPI checks but can still be legally used on the road.

Cool, thanks.
So it seems the insurance company will notify DVLA that it was a Cat N.
On DVLA website it states there's a £1000 fine for not notifying them which got me worried.

Yep as TREBUS , for piece of mind email DVLA and let them know what you intend to do :thumbup

MOT will be invalidated. So you will have to get a new MOT carried out before the bike can be used on the road legally, after repairs.
Apart from that, nothing more to do. Insurance company will notify DVLA themselves.
