Finally fitted Lukes R6 shock conversion and put the battery on charge. All being well the Doctors will give me the OK to start riding again tomorrow  :) :)

I can see some serious miles and smiles this weekend

Split rear caliper, new seals and pistons. New rear goodridge braided hose fitted. Blue spot calipers stripped new seals and 4 Pistons. Goodridge front race lines wouldn't fit  :'( banjo on one side 45 degrees out of alignment. Front forks rubbed down ready for paint.

Knackering day.....on the  :faz , yay!  :)  Did loads of the gnarly little mountain roads in the Lakes, including Honister, Wrynose and Kirkstone passes. But quite a few other roads around here are similar in steepness, and they require constant concentration. It was actually pretty warm in the sun too, to the point where getting the colder winds at the tops of the passes was a relief!

It's a fabulous place; the sense of remote, open space is fantastic up here, one of my favourite in the region.

Looks a lovely ride and cracking weather for it too.

I really need to get myself over there at some point. So many nice places not far from my doorstep and I never think to bother.

Went down to Loomies @ West Meon this arvo was a nice sunny blast, shame in some ways I had 4 wheels, but, still great with the rag top down. Lots of bikes there, spotted a really clean Blue Fazer on my way down he was headed towards Petersfiled on the A272 my guess it was about 3-45 Dunno if it was a FZS6 or a FZS1 (Certainly a Gen 1) Rider had a very clean looking fluro waistcoat on.
If it was you put your hands up, not that anyone is going to admit to owning a blue one  :lol he he  :rollin ;)

MOT just done on Friday with no printed advisories.

Guy recommened new chain and sprockets so back end stripped ready for parcel arriving tomorrow!

I've just ordered a set too, let me know how it goes as this'll be the first time I've actually changed a chain on a motorbike, yes I know it's totally disgraceful with all the years riding I've done :lol

Are they the ones made out of carrot that snap the first time you pull hard on the front brake or are they the celery ones. :eek
Don't listen to me I haven't got a clue what I'm talking about.

But I would still pull on them very hard whilst stationary just to be sure with cheap imports, If you do snap it at least your life is not at risk. 8)
