Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / Re: FZS1000 7k on tacho at startup« on: 23 July 2019, 11:35:48 am »I see 2 people have mentioned 'FC eliminator' and a 'PowerCommander', er its a Gen1 bike guys - neither of those products would apply to this bike due to it NOT being fuel injected, its a carbureted model Haven't seen fc eliminator mentioned, exup eliminator was mentioned this is for a gen 1 they put it on Wayne bike to stop the 7k fault, as I said it won't cure the problem of a stuck open exup! Coffee has a fuel injected bike and was asking if it was relivent for his bike and would a power commander help with his bike . Hope that sorts it for you ! 53

If you brought it from the dealers I would tell them to fix the exup properly, putting a eliminator on doesn't fix the problem, the bike won't run correctly with the exup open at low revs

Finally sussed it , as you sit on the bike the far left header pipe was cold, took the plug out but it still sparked when earthed to the frame , so checked the airbox that was clear, bit of head scratching later I put a new plug in and that cured it so must have been bracking down in the head, I'll do all 4 while I'm there and paint the headers .

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / Running rough« on: 18 February 2019, 01:35:51 pm »Not sure what this one is any help suggestions appreciated, bike was running great then filled it up with super unleaded on the way home started running rough spluttered home like pulling away in third. Got home had some tea then went back out and it was fine again used it for 3 days no problems, went out yesterday and it was bad again, so drained the fuel and put fresh in but no difference, starts up fine revs high but back fires, only thing I did notice when I turn the ignition on it doesn't make that clicking noise so maybe the fuel pump is on the way out , does this sound like the fuel pump ? I don't think it's blocked jets as I use sea foam and it hasn't been laid up for more than a few weeks. 68

I've got the h&m one on mine , works well , easy to install and set up, connects to the coil and cuts them when you move the lever up, has 3 sensitivity modes.

Cleaned and lubed the chain, pumped up the tyres, gave the button a prod and it burst into life first go. After a warm up, the oil got dropped and replaced with a sumpful of Motul's finest. Lovely bike 71

I've got a garmin about the same place on the bike as you red, does mean taking your eyes of the road a bit, what do you use for sound, I have tried various set ups , but always seem to move when I put my lid on.

Then down to vichy on some lovely french b roads, one night there , then to italy stayed in a bb on a farm fantastic fresh food, home made wine , a couple of alpine passes including the San bernardino , in to switsland for one night , then back to Italy for two nights stayed in a great bb there with the grandma doing all the cooking then back up through Luxembourg Belgium to calais.
