Cat bypass pipe
« on: 16 November 2015, 07:10:08 pm »
I've managed to get hold of a custom piece of stainless pipe to replace my catalytic converter.

How easy is it to replace the cat?  What do I need to remove to get to this?

Anyone got any tips?
Just think how stupid the "average" person is.  Isn't it a worry that statistically approximately 50% of the population are thicker!

Have you done this yet?
Just got my first FZ6 and was thinking of putting a full exhaust system on it.
When you remove the cat does it bring up a fault code that needs clearing or does it mess with the fuelling and make the bike run like crap?

Not yet! - it's at the end of a long list of stuff I need to get my finger out with!

I bought a Bandit a couple of months ago which needs re-commissioning so that's had priority.  Update soon....

I wouldnt knock that this part of the Forum is quiet if you own an FZ6  :)
Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it...
