Been thinking about this. Maybe those interested should agree on a month, say may/june give the weather chance to improve, people get themselves some leathers and if we book it soon we should all be able to get on the same date. Just saying.

Are leathers a requirement then. It's not a track day
2x 20 minute track sessions!
since it's meant to be primarily about safer riding skills on the roads (or so i thought)and not racing surely having to have 1peice leathers eliminates a good number of the riders who probably need it most :\ .

They hold different types of road skills days, holding this one at a track makes perfect sense as you can learn a lot more about what you and the bike are capable of on the track safer than on roads.
Having received an email it appears you can hire leathers for £45 for the day.
If you want to do their road skills training without the track sessions then pick a suitable training day!

Haha, no strop- text is easily misunderstood.
Tbh, I couldn't think of a better day for any track virgins, a nice comfortable learning day with no pressure associated with such!

For those of you who expressed an interest some provisional dates have been set. It would be good if we could get a foccer contingent to enrole on the same date. Thoughts anyone ?

I believe the march date has been firstly opened to those that had the last one cancelled grandma.

Hope it comes off as sometimes they can be a bit tricky weatherwise, as Brands is a natural frost pocket if there is snow about I live about 10 mins away, weather so fickle, they have run brilliant Jan/Feb days lol
Will keep fingers crossed, as they already had the October one postponed because of the storm, be a shame to be disappointed twice.

Yeah, although I ride all weather's I'd much prefer to do this on a warmer dry day!

I agree, it is a safety thing too, as my son came off a few years back on a Feb day (one of many) they had delayed start waiting for snow to melt, but of course track was still very cold and a few forgot to wait until tyres warmed up and came off as a result, while waiting for these to be picked up, my son forgot his tyres were losing heat and became another victim. Came off at Graham Hill so had a soft landing on grass, so no real harm done!

Another good reason why we should wait till May I think.  Slippery conditions has got to take the fun out of it a bit and to be perfectly honest the track sessions are the main reason a lot of people go,  me included.

codgie, this event is structured to cater for all abilities and the emphasis is on having fun. So, don't know if you were serious or not but either way it's beneficial to all.
Just, had an e-mail from Jim and to get us on the same day I will need to give him the other names, somehow I don't think punkstig and kitcrazy is going to mean a lot to him :lol. So give me your real names foccer's (if their too embarrassing you can pm me) :b
