Title: Who fancies Castlecary this Thursday then?
Post by: Aegis Bearing Mel on 30 August 2011, 07:07:57 am
It's been a while peeps, so how does Thursday up at Greyskull for the usual round of abuse and food sound?

Right, Thursday the 8th then.
:/

Being a newbie to your meets where is "Greyskull". The last time I had anything to do with that was when I donned my plastic power armour as a kid and tried to mount the cat........in a nice way of course  ;)

Sorry buddy, forgot to include this link.
It's Castlecary hotel up in Scumbernauld, they do a damn tasty line in food (and ale if you're getting a lift) that nicely compensates for the shite chat.
;)
Here should be a linky.

More than welcome, be good to have someone else to inflict Neily on.
:rollin

I will see if I can make it next Thursday, although I will be driving. What time you usually meet up?
The Neily thing .....it must be something in the name that does it. My mates (or folk I know as I like to call them) feel the same way about me as that's my name too. I have a reputation for inane chatter and gutter level humour. I also take pleasure in inflicting my "Neilyness" on others so this could be a challenge for me  :lol

:D
We usually try and get there for 7-7:30 ish, means we can usually blag a few tables (and one for the kit too) and get a guid wee blether going.
Something very pleasing about seeing a lot of Fazers sitting together outside it too.

It used to be a regular meet, usually the second Thursday of the month, but it's fallen by the wayside recently.
Also was alternated between here and The Two Bridges in South Queensferry to allow you Easties a chance to be home before midnight and the electricity getting turned off.
;)

Hopefully if we get enough folk that can start up once again, just don't mention the time it was in Stirling...

I will do my best to be there, although maybe in the car if the weather is bad  :o . I commute in all weathers and would not fancy a 2nd run of the day in the wet.
Two Bridges would be good as I could get a cab  :lol

:'( Foc went out for a wee blast to put a few more miles on the new rubber - Aberfoyle,Thornhill,Fintry then over the crow road to Lennoxtown then back to halfrauds for a headlight bulb foccin £15.

Anyway got back to the house and parked the bike up and decided to rotate the back tyre to pick out any stones and low and behold there's something shiny stuck in the tyre so I pull the offending object out and the air starts pissing out so pushed the small nail back in.

Gutted so the bike is back up to Jim Allans on Monday to see if it can be plugged I think it should be ok as the nail is only about 2-3mm diameter and about 5-7mm off centre and it looked like it went straight in.
Lets hope it can be fixed I cant afford another new tyre as said foccin gutted only done about 150 miles on them tyres only fitted two weeks ago.
    :'(

Hi folks long time no speak/post/meet.... It's been a mad "summer" (using that term in the loosest sense of the word) due to work and moving house but things are starting to calm down now so hopefully I'll have a bit more spare time on my hands. A meet to the west of Glasgow would be good - how about the Fox and Hounds in Houston?

PS fingers cross it can be repaired Dunky - that's the sort of mileage I get on the blade's tyres :-(

Seems to be the season for magnetic wheels, although not mine bizarrely...

That could be a plan Kenny, got a wee link or owt for it?

Well if its not Kenny showing his face  :lol anyway I was lucky and managed to get the puncture repaired/plugged.

Not so lucky for big Neil he had a large screw go in at a bad angle and he needs a new tyre  :( nae luck big man.

P.S Kenny wonder why you only get that milage from the blades tyres  :lol .

Fox n Hounds is at this link (http://www.foxandhoundshouston.co.uk/j3/). It has its own brewery so no comments about "arranging anything in a ...."  :b

Actually at the moment the blades tyres aren't costing a lot - cos they hardly turn! FZ6 still being used every day tho.
