Anyone got good or bad experiences with Chinese discs?
-
I would rather chance used OEM discs than Chinese ones.
If you have any issues at all with Chinese ones that's when your troubles will begin.
Postage will take 3 weeks minimum either way, you'll have issues with correspondence, and good luck if they don't fancy being helpful.
They could also be of a very low quality so it's false economy in my opinion.
Discs and shocks are unfortunately the most expensive parts on these bikes, but no point in cutting corners 'cos it could really go against you.
You can probably get a pair of Ferodo discs for a couple of hundred quid if you shop about.

Would not use them, seen to many crack after a short time.
Discs, brakes and tyres are not something I would skimp on.
Plenty of known good quality discs out there.
I know a few who have them without problems, but not for me.

I'll add to the chorus of not skimping on brakes. They can save your life.

Put Chinese ones on mine last year, and not had any problems :)

Biggest problem is getting the bolts out, when taking the old ones off.
I had to weld some bolts onto a couple of the old ones to get then out in the end, because the heads were so chewed up.
Budget for some new bolts as well as the discs.
It seems a common problem of wrecking the old standard bolts when trying to get them out. I replaced mine with stainless :D
