FZ6 / Fazer / engine paint
« on: 09 February 2020, 08:22:12 pm »
anyone know what paint to use on a 2010 FZ6 S2 the black painted engine covers,  looks like a metallic finish not the satin finish on normal cases, it is the same colour and finish i have on my honda cbf, all shops i have tried say its just a satin black but i have got some satin and is not the same, sure owners who have the same finish will know what i mean.

FZ6 / Fazer / lowering rear end
« on: 09 January 2020, 10:23:24 am »
Just bought this 2010 fz6 s2, and find it a little too high for my little legs, i have seen on ebay you can buy a part to lower it by 35mm.
Does this fit on the bottom of the shocker, if so does the bottom it just unscrew off, then screw the new one on.
thanks

Putting the rear shocker back on, should the linkage be tightened up with the bike on the stand or off the stand.
or does it not matter.

Refitting the rear shocker on the bike, should i tighten the rear suspension linkage  with the bike on the centre stand or with the weight of the bike on the wheels,
Or does it not matter

Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner / fazer shock
« on: 13 November 2014, 05:07:40 pm »
Hi,
just removed the rear shocker this afternoon from my fazer 1000 gen 1 and noticed that the round canister at the top of the shocker  has  what looks like a large plastic sealing washer on the end and is not located in the hole right.
About a third of it has tilted proud of the canister, would of thought this is not normal, any body could just check on theirs please.
Will try post photo of it later
