Just give the council a forwarding address for your poor mum,,,plot number , the cemetary :)
... Is this some sort of ruse to get me to use their expensive services?

My cousin used to work at Barclays and he was appalled at how much profit they make from executor services... don't let them talk their way into taking over the task. I'd cancel that appointment.
Will do tomorrow
Is this some sort of ruse to get me to use their expensive services?

Very probably. They'll ask for a percentage of the value of the estate. It may only be eg 4% but if the house is worth £150,000 that will be £6,000 minimum!

See http://www.theguardian.com/money/2009/apr/18/probate-writing-a-will then check http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/family/what-to-do-when-someone-dies

I live in Merthyr Tydfil Slimwilly, could probably sell the whole street and not reach inheritance tax threshold! Of all the people/organisations who have promised to send me relevant paperwork it is only HM revenue have obliged.

Council sent me one letter saying the estate was owed £177  council tax and another to say I am liable for council tax on the property :eek

Sure I have read something about probate here before so looking for answers from the foc-u font of all knowledge. My mother passed away on new years eve, her will names me as sole executor and beneficiary. Main query I have is do I have to transfer her house into my name before putting it up for sale or can it be sold as part of estate? Also called into barclays bank today to freeze her accounts, got passed on to their bereavement service and they are sending a  "probate specialist" to see me next tuesday evening. Is this some sort of ruse to get me to use their expensive services?

My wife was diagnosed nearly twenty years ago after being treated by a different doctor for seven years for an  anal cut! Came home on an afternoon shift and found her collapsed on the bathroom floor. The doctor who came out on call (they used to do that then) said within 5 mins he suspected ulcerative colitis. Treatment was usually steroids which long term bring their own problems. For a long time now she has been taking i think azothriopane which seems to work for her but, are known to cause cancer if used long term. Unfortunately if her dose of those is cut she suffers flare ups.
I see you have read about some of the symptoms and can understand why your friend may not be keen to go out. In my wifes case now the fear of being out and too far from a toilet is far worse than the reality, long trips involve stopping at every service station, bus trips are out altogether. quite a few of our days holidays every year are used on outpatients appointments. It's not all doom and gloom symptoms can vary from being severe for long periods to being symptom free for long  long periods. Other  sufferers include Sir Steve Redgrave and Darren Fletcher (man u footballer)

Nick the bit to the right that looks like a small volcano is Morlais Castle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morlais_Castle) near Merthyr Tydfil. Anything on the left of the picture is just about in the brecon beacons national park.A view from my back garden

It's an air separator and that pipework is shite :lol   similar here

see if a magnet will stick to it, if it does its a pretty good indication that the system is shitted up. If you are fitting a combi it will be cut out anyway but, make sure you have the system well flushed and fit a system filter.

A nice strong coffee 1st thing in the morning is lovely before you set off on an epic ride. The fact you will need a p**s 10 minutes after squeezing into your leathers cuts that epic ride short most of the time  :\

Thats me that is :lol

Apologies to Big Blue Bear and his 6'3" frame of robustly built, potty mouthed Rangers fan and to the Father of Eve (evesdad) as I had to delete your posts to open the thread up again.
Hopefully this has sorted the problem, until I manage to break the site a whole lot more playing behind the scenes.
Again.

Cheers I'll go back to to the photobucket route and hope i don't bugger it up again

Only 10 mins away from me to but, I'll believe it when it's finished. Anybody know why it would be for all classes of racing except formula one?

No-one's given an reason as far as I know, but I reckon it's a case of capacity. If you look at the area I don't think there's the accessibility or the local infrastructure to deal with the crowds, media, support crews and the general F1 circus, while other racing series such as Moto GP, BTCC, FIA GT and the like are much smaller in comparison.

This is only my guess mind, you'd be in a better position to know being local.

If you build it they will come as Kevin Costner once said :)
