Post by: Tilts on 16 February 2013, 08:24:01 pm
Hi, my father picked up a 54 plate Fazer today, that is in need of some huge TLC..we are after the following parts to try and bring the old girl back to life,

Nose Fairing and right hand scuttle
Tank
Seat
Clutch Housing
Clutch lever
L/H Air box cover
Choke cable
R/H Mirror.

if you have any of the above, please get in touch...

Cheers

she'll be alright, just been neglected, just cosmetic, bit of polish, back to new..

I rode it back 60 miles, sweet as a nut!   been ivanised, R6 shock conversion, be a good bike again once we've finished with her.O0

Poor girl has had a hard time by the look of it. If you need a clutch lever treat her to a set of these http://shop.the2wheels.com/CNC-Adjustable-Clutch-Brake-Levers-Set-for-Yamaha-Lever-Set-Yamaha.htm (http://shop.the2wheels.com/CNC-Adjustable-Clutch-Brake-Levers-Set-for-Yamaha-Lever-Set-Yamaha.htm)

Cost me £23 in total but did take 2 weeks to arrive. Quality is good for the money and they look really nice on.
Good luck with her.

Thanks for the thought mate, stripped plenty of bikes, just finished off my gas gas 300, and my oldman is a time served spanner man, he's retired from full time work, so will be a nice little project for him, ill keep you updated on progress.

yep, went and seen him yesterday, nice bloke, not once did he try and cover up the state and condition of the bike, its a shame sometimes that life can treat you a few bad hands, and things that were once important to are not so any more. He was good enough to let us have it for a fair price, and although it will never be showroom, I think we can bring her back to respectable condition. If your reading this Ian, all the best for the future, and yep, bike rode well back to Swansea, and pulled harder than my 20,000!

next on shopping list, Ivan jetting kit..
