It's going after 14 years
« on: 08 December 2012, 11:06:58 am »
Well there comes a time when it is time to let go and mine has arrived. The trusty Fazer is going just spent a pile of money getting the "dropping out of second" sorted and I will be waving goodbye to it soon. Not been put up for sale but it will be shortly and there may be some spare going for sale as well not 100% sure what as yet but will post when I am. Not giving up biking but just moving to an XJR1300sp(F) a fully faired version  :eek kindly donnated by Narked as he is moving onto a FJR 1300
More details to follow
Dont ask it's a chef thing
After 15 years EX-Fazer owner XJR. XJR gone FJR, FJR gone NEW FJR that's gone, now Triumph Tiger Explorer  an CB400n Superdream sold BMW 650 Funduro sold Now a R1200GA Adventure Rallye next ? OK so where next turns out to be V-Strom 1050 NEXT?

Well one things for sure it'll no doubt give at least 1 more foccer many miles of joy and any spares will be snapped up quicker than i can say 'youll be back on a fazer before you know it'  :D

Dont suppose youve got an awsome exhaust system that will fit straight on my 2001 do you?

I feel guilty now, like taking a peek in comet coz they're closing type of guilt :o
Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike

How many miles did you rack up in that time?

You can sell the Fazer, but you'll always be a FOCer!

Miles was only about 27thou ( it was off the road for about 3 years)  :\
Parts going to be something like
the longer mirrors
standard screen
standard exhaust
standard indecators
Standard Chain guard
realy ratty micron race can (would clean up I supose)
there were a set of HID but they were not salvageable when removed but the balasts are fine.
May be more when I have a clear out will keep you updated.

Yep there are a few but there was never a faired one made some companies make one that will fit ( as used to be on this bike) but look not very good this one however is a TCP which was made for the bike and I think it looks like it was. Cant take credit as this was Narked's bike which has come to me to replace the Fazer. A big thanks to Bro on that one  :lol

Of course you have seen one before, its at Weston bike night throughout the summer

For the record
The fairing is a TCP Hawk,
The SP stripes were added by The Vital Sign Co of Weston s Mare
It runs. 4deg ignition advancer
In box K&N
1 tooth extra on the front sprocket
Delkevic end cans
With 118 at the rear wheel

But my new one is faster!
