Help with finding part numbers please
« on: 17 September 2016, 04:56:52 pm »
Can anyone help with finding the part numbers for the pipe and two orings in the pictures below ?

I've been through Fowlers web site and parts diagrams but can't seem to find this pipe or the orings on any of them.

The sump pan is from a 2001 Gen 1 Fazer 1000.  The pipe is an oil pipe with an or ring at each end although as you can see from the photo's one o ring is missing, assumed perished and disintegrated and the other one doesnt look in much better nick.
Ideally I'd like to replace the pipe and both o rings but if not, just the o rings will suffice.
So if anyone can assist with part numbers or provide any links to suppliers or diagrams ,etc I'd be gratefull as I can find nothing that matches on Fowlers.
Thanks

Thats fantastic. Thanks for your help.

I genuinely spent the over an hour this afternoon going through each page on their web site trying to find that so well spotted.
Unfortunately the pipe is out of stock but have ordered the two o rings so I can get it re-assembled and back and the road.

Thanks RMT1983. The part is only $3.78 which is no problem but at $56.99  :eek that they want to post it to the UK I think I'll get the wire wool out and see if I can clean this one up a bit.

if you are looking up parts numbers use Yamaha Europe's online catalogue, its a faff to find but is what Fowlers base theirs on but is so much clearer and zoomable, this is not a critique of Fowler's by the way, on my computer the Yamaha site is so much clearer, then you can use fowlers parts search to locate your bits, simples !!

All fitted and back together.
Only managed a 20 mile test run but looks good so far. Fingers crossed it's all sorted now.
