Lights dip wrong way
« on: 30 September 2013, 03:05:27 pm »
I have just discovered at MOT my lights dip to the right so I must have a European import. Have put on EU beam deflectors to get through MOT. Is there a more long term solution, preferably cheap(ish)? FZS600 Foxeye. Thanks.

You can tell what country your FZS600 is from by looking at the code

Mine is from Germany. I have bits of electrical tape over the lights to pass MOT.
Not aware of any proper fix apart from completely replacing the headlight assembly.

Cheers. Just had a look - 101 so from Germany also. It's managed to get past 7 UK MOTs with wrong direction beams until today!

Get a broken UK or Irish one with the reflectors intact and seperate the glass front from the rear using a heat gun (carefully) to soften the glue and swap the reflectors. The glass fronts of the fozeye models come away as two units and the back is all one unit.

Thanks. I'll keep a look out. At least it's something that isn't urgent.
