I have the motad pipes and ran a motad viper end can.
I’ve just put the original end can back on and can say that the engine for me is better with the original can.
Feels very torquey.

There will be someone who makes ant glare varifocal contact lenses pretty soon i’m guessing.

The problem for me isn’t the looking down, which is nice and clear, the problem with varifocals for me is the blurred peripheral vision.
I can’t see why people pay more for less vision.
I’m going get my money back and go bifocal, this way I get my side vision back and keep my near vision, it’s a win win.
As for bi focal contact lenses, how do they work if the lens is stuck on your eye, surely the lens would move when your eyes move.confused of Croydon.

That’s a good price, I paid £475 for just one pair and they were non reactolight.
I feel I’ve been mugged.

That’s weird, the optician told me to move my head not my eyes, either way I paid for expensive lenses and still not happy.
Maybe varifocals are just not me.

« on: 21 May 2018, 02:43:30 pm »
can someone please explain the benefit of varifocal glasses to me because I can’t see it ( see what I did there).
I was reluctant to try the bloody things again but thought i’d try Zeiss driving lenses as recommended by the optician for driving, which is what I do.
Anyhow my argument is this.
With bi focal lenses only one part of my vision will be blurred but with varifocal lenses my peripheral vision is also blurred so what’s the point in paying more money for seeing less.
I need my peripheral vision, I think it’s vital riding a motorbike, that’s just my opinion though.

Many thanks for your ivanising skills mike, I had mine done by you last year and I still love the bike.
Wishing you all the very best in your future travels.

Another thing to Bear in mind is has it been ivanised, a standard can might cause problems if it’s had a full monty, mike might be able to advise better.

I know you saying to yourselves Lucky, Lucky Bastard.  :lol
I have bought it at a brilliant price of 100 quid, and it looks in reasonable condition, the owner said that the only thing that was wrong when it went into the barn was one of the rear indicators was flashing slower that the others. Possibly a bad earth I reckon.
But it should be a bit of a winter project, and fun to ride in the spring.

See if I can get Mrs tommyarding to do her CBT and she can ride it.

Can you imagine turning up at Loomies bikers cafe in West Meon on that   :eek lol

The only thing wrong when it went into the barn is that it came out again :lol
Sorry I couldn’t resist that.

General / Re: Battery powered heated gloves
« on: 14 November 2017, 09:01:18 am »
RST make some battery heated gloves.Three heat settings .
last about 4 hours on lowest and about 2 hours on max.
Two years ago they were £150. spare batteries are about
£25 a pair.I find them useful when deicing the car and other
outside winter activities as well as on the bike
The batteries do need to be kept charged when not in use
during the summer. I did not do this the first year and when
winter arrived one battery would not charge
Malc

If the batteries are lithium polymer then you should not store them fully charged as this can ruin the battery too.
Bet they don’t tell you that when you buy the gloves though.

Pinlock has been a revelation not having had it before but my problem is that my bloody glasses still fog up.
I tried some fluid on them last night but it didn,t work.
Does anyone use anti mist fluid on their glasses and which one.

going to test ride a Ducati 1200 multistrada tomorrow just out of interest.
Ducati claim 160 Bhp but some say it's nearer 130.
Anyone on here ridden one, what did you think.
