GPR Ghost Exhaust
« on: 29 July 2013, 06:22:45 pm »
Thanks to the guys who replied to my last post, I'm now asking if anybody knows of or as these exhaust on their fazer (GPR Ghost). I have spoken to Beowulf and they cannot guarantee that their exhaust will not affect my throw over panniers, the Ghost exhaust allows me to retain the heat shield on my bike which as the under seat pipes by the way, or does any body know of other companies that do exhausts that allow you to keep the heat shields. As a second point I have seen online that some owners have drilled their stock exhaust to make it sound louder, that is the only issue I have with the bike is it sounds like an electric tram so I want more noise. Thanks.

Aftermarket exhausts don't usually get anywhere near as hot as the standard ones mate, and most panniers now have heat resistant panels on them, so as long as yours have them you should be okay to be honest!

I have a standard exhaust can and Oxford "first time" luggage, which unlike their "lifetime" range doesn't have any heat shield along it's base.

My experience has been that there are no problems with heat so long as the luggage is properly fitted and not sagging on to the can.

Thanks will be going for the GPR Ghost I think, when I put the panniers on they were close to the heat shield with nothing in them so would like to retain them and the ghost is the only I can find that fits.
