Cheers I'll look in to that, I thought about something like that earlier but was concerned about the material to use.

Something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/391035683580

Is it just the Arm Shaft that you need?

only need this bit that hangs in the exhaust "the cradle" bit

The ends of the above part are worn causing it to rattle
Have the cam, spacers mount etc

Thanks

This is bit I need

Thats the actual valve, and doesn't look that worn. Have you got a better shot so we can see where the wear is? At a guess Im betting your missing the small spacer that goes on the end that inserts into the hole on the inside the headers, part 13 (90387106u7)

And regarding the bearings in the end-plate and the headers these are phosphor-bronze, I very much dought you can put normal ball based bearings in there due to the heat 200-400c. For a start the great in them would be burnt away, then there the issue of different expansion level of the balls and the shells.

On while we are on the subject, I would strong suggest replacing the cover and plate bolts (number 7, 18) with either Stainless or titainium (I went for Ti, and I've had them for years just moving from one bike to the next)

Cheers for the reply,
I have the spacer part 13
I'll get a better shot of the ends tonight when I get home.

That was my concern the material to make the bushes out, and my fear with using bearings

Ok, there is wear there. But with all the spacers in-place and the correct amount of slack set on the pully cables you shouldn't hear much of any rattle.

Did you check the wear on the bushes and the housing? Wear on any of these will cause the valve to rattle also.
I had to replace the bushes on mine after 25000 miles.

Wear on the bushes doesn't seem too bad considering 47,000 miles

Deffo slack on the valve spindle, lots of "wobble" and it's just amplifies thru the can
Tried adjusting but was the same, there's a couple of machine shops local to me will have a pop in this week and see wots possible.

Knock out the bushes and take them with you, they should be able to machine new ones to suit the valve
